WiFiMobile was formed in 2002 and have offices in the US and UK. Founder
and CEO Gerry O’Prey is the man behind Dataflex Holdings which he founded
and led to it’s full listing on the London Stock Exchange. The main focus
has been developing software for Symbian OS smartphones which enables free
calls over both Wi-Fi and 3G.
In 2004 the company achieved the status of Forum Nokia S60 3rd Edition
Featured Developer, one of only 23 recognised worldwide.
oneFone is a self developed and wholly owned mobile VoIP client
compatible with all Nokia E and N Series smartphones. The client supports
Presence with other key business features such as Call Conferencing, Call
Transfer and VCC (Voice Call Continuity) coming soon.
Key Personnel
GERRY O’PREY, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Gerry is the founder and CEO of WiFiMobile. He has a track record of
innovation in the communications sector and has been responsible for several
very successful high-volume products in the European market. His last
company was Dataflex Holdings, which he founded and was able to help it gain
a full listing on the London Stock Exchange. Gerry has a wealth of
experience concerning the manufacture of products at low cost, high volume
and high quality in the Far East. One of Dataflex’s products, a PSTN call
router, has sold over 8 million units. These devices have been purchased by
Telecom Operators throughout Europe. He has developed a number of European
technology “firsts” in the communications area, and has won numerous awards
in the IT industry press. He holds a Masters degree in Radiation Physics and
a Bachelors degree in Physics from Imperial College, London.
BOB WACHEL, CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER
Bob joined WiFiMobile in September 2002 as the Chief Technical Officer
and is based in the company’s Santa Monica, CA headquarters location.
Bob brings with him over 25 years of experience in the telecommunication
industry, primarily in Engineering and Design. Prior to joining WiFiMobile,
Bob was CTO for a number of other companies, including ADT, Cemip
Networks and Cordell. He originally joined Cordell as the
Director of Engineering and was later promoted to CTO ,where his
responsibilities included introducing a new product every six months. Bob
also has experience in the Test and Measurement Division of Hewlett Packard.
During many of these assignments, Bob has been involved in projects for
Siemens, Northern Telecom, GTE and numerous other large and small companies
in the industry.
ALAN LIVSEY, DIRECTOR – CARRIER SALES
Alan joined the WiFiMobile team in April 2003 as the Director of Carrier
Sales and is based in New Jersey. He has over 30 years
experience in the telecom industry, with extensive knowledge of both
equipment and network services. The majority of Alan’s career was
spent with AT&T in their Global Sales and Headquarters Marketing
Departments, with sales / service responsibility for several of the
company’s largest national accounts and assignments in Product Management
and Product Marketing. Prior to joining WiFiMobile, he also had
executive sales assignments with BellSouth and ADTRAN, an equipment
manufacturer based in Huntsville, AL. During his time with ADTRAN, his
responsibilities included new product development. Alan brings
to WiFiMobile a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of sales, marketing and
customer service.
WiFiMobile's Administration and Customer Support is mainly carried out in
the UK, with technical engineers and development personnel based in the US
and throughout Europe.
